MTB’ing During Hunting Season
The Tennessee Mountain Biking Alliance makes the following recommendations to all mountain bikers during hunting season.
1. Obey all hunt trail closures.
2. Avoid parks during hunts, even if the trail remain open to mountain biking. Hunters have limited access to most public lands, respecting their limited access and riding at alternate venues during hunting season will eliminate conflicts.
3. If you do ride in an area where hunting is taking place, be sure to wear bright colored clothing, preferably hunter orange. Always avoid wearing white during deer season as it can be confused with the underside of a deer’s tail.
