2009 TENNESSEE MOUNTAIN BIKE SUMMIT
Montgomery Bell State Park
December 11th-13th

The Tennessee Mountain Bike Alliance, along with IMBA-SORBA, presents the 2009 Tennessee Mountain Bike Summit at Montgomery Bell State Park in White Bluff, TN on December 11-13.
The summit will bring mountain biking advocates, land managers, and trail builders, together for collaboration, planning and riding.  The 2008 Summit focused on how existing mountain biking organizations and local advocates can work together to improve advocacy at a state-wide level.  This year’s Summit will build on this foundation by giving advocates and clubs tools to aid in the expansion of mountain biking access across the state.
The summit will be based at the Montgomery Bell State Park Inn.  Festivities will be kicked off on Friday evening with a meet and greet event at the Inn restaurant.  In addition to workshops and a panel discussion, we will make sure you get plenty of time on the bike to experience the amazing local trail system in the park.

COST & ACCOMODATIONS
The Summit, itself, is free, but you will be responsible for your own travel expenses (if you are in a local club, you may be able to get reimbursed for this, or, alternatively, get your local bike shop to sponsor you).  We plan to provide lunch Saturday, and beer and snacks Saturday evening, but all other meals will be on your own.  There is a restaurant in the lodge that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Camping is available at the park, as well as rooms at the Montgomery Bell Park Inn.  Inn rooms start at $55/night (mention the winter special) and can be reserved by calling 1-800-250-8613 or online at http://www.tennesseeanytime.org/parks/.  Camping is $11/night for sites without electricity and is on a first come, first serve basis.  In addition, the TMBA has reserved two cabins, each containing 3 beds and a pull out sofa.  There are a limited number of spots, but if you would like to reserve one of these beds, please contact president@mtbtn.org.
